As ITN went to press, the State Department listed 24 destinations under its highest-level “Do Not Travel” advisory:
Afghanistan, Belarus, Burkina Faso, Burma (Myanmar), Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gaza, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Niger, North Korea, Russia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Uganda, Ukraine, and Yemen.
More than two dozen additional countries carried a Level 3 “Reconsider Travel” advisory, including much of the Persian Gulf region, following months of regional tensions.
