Our longstanding commitment. The names and addresses of ITN subscribers will not be released, sold, or rented to any other firm, even after your subscription expires. This has been our policy since 1976 and it has not changed.
What information do we collect? When you subscribe or create an account, we collect your name, email address, and mailing address (for print delivery). When submitting articles or letters to ITN, you are asked to provide your name, email address, mailing address, and (optionally) a phone number; these are used solely to verify your subscriber status and to contact you with questions as we consider your submission. You may, of course, visit our site anonymously.
How do we use it? We use your information to deliver your subscription, process payments, respond to your correspondence, and send you email about ITN — including issue announcements and subscription notices. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribe requests are honored immediately.
Email. We send email only to current and former ITN subscribers and to people who have signed up on our website. We do not purchase email lists.
Payments. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Your credit card information is not stored on our servers. We retain your name and address for our subscriber rolls.
Analytics and cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Our website also uses cookies necessary for subscriber login and checkout to function.
Third-party services. We rely on trusted service providers to operate: Stripe (payments), Pantheon (website hosting), Mailgun and Constant Contact (email delivery), and Google Analytics. Each receives only the information needed to perform its service, and none may use your information for any other purpose. Beyond this, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties, except when required to comply with the law or protect our or others’ rights, property, or safety.
Third-party links. Many of our articles link to tour operators, guides, museums, and travel companies. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies, and we have no responsibility or liability for their content and activities.
Children’s privacy. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products, and services are directed to adults.
Your choices. You may unsubscribe from marketing email at any time via the link in any message, or by writing to editor@intltravelnews.com. You may also contact us at that address to request a copy of the information we hold about you or to ask that it be deleted.
