I am thrilled to be shepherding ITN’s relaunch and have loved getting to know our incredibly well-traveled contributors and columnists. Having visited 72 countries and 50 US states, I am used to being the most well-traveled person in a room, but not anymore! It’s such a joy to join this special community.

My career as a travel writer and editor for major publications including Condé Nast Traveler, Fodor’s, Lonely Planet, and Travel Agent has allowed me the great privilege of exploring the world and sharing stories with other curious travelers. Highlights include witnessing the dawn of a new millennium at the Egyptian pyramids, running on a camel named Michael Jackson in India’s Thar Desert, and fully understanding the word “zen” atop Switzerland’s Jungfraujoch.

A member of industry associations including the Society of American Travel Writers, I am a Connecticut resident and the author of "Secret Connecticut: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure" and "100 Things to Do in Connecticut Before You Die."

I love shining a light on the world’s remarkable places and fascinating stories while helping others discover the joys and wonders of travel.

Thank you for trusting us with your stories. Please keep them coming! See our publishing guidelines and email your tips and features to editor@intltravelnews.com.

I’m delighted to introduce myself as the Managing Editor at International Travel News. An American by birth and a traveler by instinct, I’ve spent my life exploring as much of the world as possible—often squeezing big adventures into the small windows of vacation time we get here in the U.S. I’ve lived in Fairfield County, Connecticut for more than 25 years, and my academic background includes an MBA in Finance from New York University and an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems.

Travel has always been central to my life. My husband is a Swede who grew up in Africa, so international trips are both a joy and a natural part of our family rhythm. My own wanderlust took hold early: after a year and a half in my first post‑college job, I quit to take a three‑month solo trip to Australia. I stayed with a friend’s family during the America’s Cup races, then joined six others to sail across the Australian Bight to Melbourne. During my time in the southern hemisphere, I somehow never got to New Zealand, which still makes me a bit sad. That trip was the beginning of everything and shaped my sense of adventure

Before joining ITN, I had a career in Executive Search, where I listened closely to people’s stories, shaped narratives, edited documents, and helped organizations find exceptional talent. Those skills of curiosity, clarity, and a deep appreciation for personal experience translate naturally to this role.

What excites me most about ITN is its community. Our readers are travelers who don’t just want to see the world; they want to share it. I look forward to listening to your stories, editing your submissions, and traveling alongside you through your words. I love discovering new places, returning to familiar ones, and learning from the journeys of others. Being part of a publication built on that shared spirit feels like coming home.

Based in my native Copenhagen, Denmark, I hold a master’s degree in organizational communication, and my professional background has centered around writing, editing, and shaping clear, engaging communication across cultures and industries.

I’ve lived in Singapore and the US and travel frequently, often once a month. I am currently on maternity leave and look forward to continuing ITN’s tradition of sharing thoughtful, first-hand travel experiences that help readers learn from one another.
