I have been a member of the Travelers’ Century Club (TCC, travelerscenturyclub.org), but I was recently introduced to Most Traveled People (MTP, mtp.travel). MTP has broken down the world into 1,500 places versus TCC’s 330. Their list allows travelers to go beyond counting countries and dive deeper into regions, territories, and lesser-known destinations. I am now at 541.
I feel a sense of community here that I didn't feel in other clubs. There are a number of WhatsApp groups by region and interests, and I can always find people to give advice on guides, conditions, and travel tips.
There are no dues or an initiation fee. Just create a user name and password to get started.
Finally, they have an amazing app. It is a bit clunky at first if you have been traveling for years and must manually enter MTP regions. The app lets you track MTP regions, UN countries, TCC territories, UNESCO sites, high end restaurants, hotels, beaches, and golf courses. Plus, when you are planning to visit a region, you can see places to visit, stay, or dine. The only thing I wish the app tracked was wine regions. If you take pictures with your iPhone it can even read your metadata and update your list. Did I say the app is free?
