Philippines earthquakes

In the Philippines’ Batanes Province, two earthquakes, measuring 5.4 and 5.9 in magnitude, struck in succession on July 27, killing at least eight people and injuring more than 60.

Batanes, an archipelago consisting of 10 islands, three of which are populated, is the country’s northernmost province.
