This picture was taken from the Observation Deck on the 124th floor of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in November 2017. Actually, I climbed up to a platform on the deck to get this shot, so I like to say I made it to the 125th floor! My wife, Barbara, and I took two sets of elevators to reach the deck. I was surprised how fast they were, taking as long as going up only 12 stories in an elevator back home. When you looked down at the other very tall buildings, you had a feeling like you were in an airplane. Some people felt sick and could not look out. When I got back to ground level, I was surprised to have a feeling of confidence. — DOUGLAS STOREY, Mississauga, ON, Canada
