The Department of State warns that, although Guinea has been relatively calm since the democratically elected president took office in December 2010, the political situation remains unpredictable.
Travelers are urged to be alert to their surroundings, to avoid crowds or demonstrations and to be familiar with their hotels’ evacuation plans, policies or procedures.
