At an Indian restaurant in Pisa, Italy, in 2010, my husband, Karl, and I decided on our food. He then asked me, “Which wine do you think would go best with the curry?”

The waiter interrupted with, “There is no which. You will have the Sangiovese.” 

And very good it was, too.
