Harley-Davidson has established rental locations throughout the world, including in many port cities. All rentals are late-model motorcycles, maintained to strict company standards.

For iPhone and Android smartphone users, a free “Visit Korea” app provides Korea travel info, recommended itineraries and travel tools (including exchange rates and local weather). It is gps-integrated, so users can find the nearest tourist information center. By linking to the “1330 call center” feature, travelers can reach information and interpretation services. There are many flea markets in Paris, but the most famous is Les Puces de Saint-Ouen, or, as it is usually called, Les Puces (“The Fleas”). About 6.5 kilometers* (four miles) north of the Paris city center, just outside the 18th arrondissement, it’s located between Métro stops Porte de Clignancourt and Porte de St-Ouen.

As part of the 2011 International Roots Festival in The Gambia, James Island, the site of a fort once used by British slave traders, was renamed Kunte Kinteh Island after the main character in Alex Haley’s novel “Roots.” Haley traced his ancestry back to The Gambia.

Named for the famous steam train “Flying Scotsman,” a new express train service was launched between London’s Kings Cross Station and Edinburgh, Scotland, by East Coast Main Line in May.

In December ’10, the European Court of Justice upheld a 2005 law banning foreigners from entering “coffee shops” that sell cannabis (legally) in Maastricht, Netherlands.

Goa is a popular beach resort area in India known for its relaxed atmosphere, but some tourists have been sightseeing at nearby churches and temples inappropriately dressed (some women even in bikinis). Priests, monks and some worshipers have protested the lack of respect for the sanctity of the religious sites.
