Wanted: England slides

This item appears on page 79 of the January 2008 issue.

Are any ITN readers looking for a “home” for their slides of England? I’m interested.

About 10 years ago I became penpals with a fellow dollhouse miniaturist. We are in touch constantly, sending packages and gifts to each other every month, talking on the phone at least once a month and e-mailing each other all the time. We “know” about each other’s families. We have become “family.”

The only thing missing is never being in the same room with each other. For various reasons, that will probably never happen.

But I have several hundred books about England, both fiction and nonfiction, and my computer area is surrounded by “England” things. My friend and her family are a daily part of my family’s conversation. In fact, my grandchildren are homeschooled and would love to see my England collection of information grow; they are just as interested.

Thus, I would dearly appreciate making a home for any pictures and/or slides about England. (We have projectors and screens.) Learning anything about England is a hobby in which I “lose” myself.

If anyone can help out, please contact me at 401 Timberdale Terrace, Edmond, OK 73034; e-mail me c/o ITN.
