rental homes in Italy

My family and I would like to rent a home in northern Italy next year(in late June/early July). We will be 12 people including 4 children between 9 and 13. We are looking for a home in a village with restaurants and easy access to bus or train to Venice and other cities. If anyone has done this or knows of a good website to find homes please let me know. Grazie.

Try www.italyperfect.com They handle properties throughout Italy, including villas in Tuscany.

I recommend to my clients Mestre - it is 6 miles from Venice and there is a regular train to Venice, and you can drive also if you rent a car. In Mestre you can stay in hotels at reasonable prices and be close to Venice. As for renting a villa - www.parkervillas.com is a reputable website, also homeaway.com, some agents use vrbo.com.

We have used the website Venere.com to rent homes in Italy before and had much success. We rented a large home in the Florence area with several other couples and we took the train to Venice. It has good descriptions and you can choose an area in which you want to locate to narrow down the choices. Happy traveling.

Try http://initaly.com/ reference the owner Kristin Jarrat. She will find you a place. I have used this site for years. Very informative site.

My husband and I are interested in renting an apt. in Sicily for one or two weeks in Dec. 2015. Can anyone recommend an apt or a contact person? Thank you.

Several years back we rented a house through rentvillas.com. There were 9 of us, but our house would have easily slept 12. It also included a nice welcoming dinner, and the frig was stocked with food for breakfast. If I ever get the opportunity, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.Devra
