I inherited 7 cases of Old Travel Slides from my cousin that traveled Europe for years with the service.

When she passed away about 5 years ago, I really wanted to see the all so I purchased a used projector,

and have not been able to view hardly any of the. I did look at a couple that were of France, but she was all over

Europe and the Far East because she sent me many small gifts from over there. I don't want these any

more as I am trying to down size. I am in my early 70's and need to get rid of them. Do you have

any suggestions as to how and where. To donate or sell, or what.....I just want them gone....

Sincerely,
Linda Huckfeldt

If your cousin took the slides while on active duty, you might try some veterans organizations in your area or perhaps some local museums. However, I fear that you should begin to prepare yourself for disappointment. Ask yourself what such an organization, much less a prospective buyer, might want to do with them. I find that, in our digitized age, it's becoming more difficult to donate things. Maybe you can get a 401(c)(3) organization to accept them just so you can get a tax deduction for your donation. Just don't ask too much about what the organization will do with them. I think many of us may be thinking that our heirs ultimately will dump all those slides and photos that have such sentimental value to us.
