OAT African trips

Can anyone report on their satisfaction with OAT's Safari Serengeti trip or the Kenya and Tanzania trip? Thank you for your input.

I nave been on several african trips and safaris, but compared with other trips Ive taken with OAT, their trip is mediocre and I would not travel with them again as I believe that there are better alternatives on the market. Most OAT travelers are not really seasoned adventure travelers.

My husband and I took this trip on March 20, 2011 along with the Capetown Extension. We were a group of 14 on the main trip and 11 people took the Krueger pre-trip which they said was exceptional.
We have traveled extensively on our own and with OAT and think the Ultimate Africa trip was one of the best we've had. We also went to Kenya and Tanzania about 15 years ago and put that trip together on our own (before we knew about OAT).
Everyone on our trip thought the Ultimate Africa trip was terrific from Edison (our guide) to the different yet wonderful camps and including the guides and personnel at each camp. We loved Capetown and the Cape Peninsula and recommend this post-trip. We did our own air because we were continuing on to Italy after Africa but people seemed happy with the OAT air arrangements.
I give Ultimate Africa a 9++. It would be a 10 but at the time of year we went Zambia (Kafue Nat'l Park) which did not have the throngs of animals we were used to seeing..it's probably better during the dry season. We did like the camp though.
