I would appreciate comments from anyone who has traveled to Mongolia within the past few years regarding availability of camera battery charging outlets in yurts (gers). I will be staying in gers for at least 10 days and wonder if electricity will be available so that I can recharge my camera battery each night. If not what would you suggest ( other than taking several extra batteries or getting a camera which takes AAA batteries and taking many of them on the trip?

I toured Mongolia in 2008. Obviously I don't know if you will stay in the same ger camps, but I had no problem charging my camera battery. My gers had electrical outlets
and I recharged every night. I don't remember the type of plug that was needed, but I have a universal adapter and one of the common types worked fine.
