Be Alert for extra bag charges at Delta check-in

<p>My husband and I recently flew from Miami to JFK on Delta airlines. It was our first domestic flight since the checked bag fee was instituted. We each had one bag to check and I paid the fee at the counter. When I received my credit card statement I noticed that the agent had checked both bags on my husband's ticket, thus charging $35. for the second bag. A complaint to Delta via their website received absolutely no reply.<br /> Lesson: Specify that you are each checking one bag and examine your receipt on the spot, or risk being scammed. </p>
