i used overseas adventure tours last november - and it was great. (combo with either israel or egypt) and a very good value for the money. i have a friend who used gate one travel (jordan only) - an especially good value for the money. please do the black mud at the dead sea - it's not to be missed.

Yes! About ten years ago, Wendy of Petra Moon arranged a week-long visit to Jordan for me. A car and driver met me at the Jordan River border crossing, took me to Jerash, Petra, Aqaba, etc., and brought me back to the Eilat-Aqaba border crossing. I didn't pay her a cent until we met at Petra toward the end of my visit. Everything went smoothly; my only disappointment was the feeling that I was somewhat short-changed for time at Wadi Rum. More recently, she arranged a similar trip for three friends, who also were pleased.
