Women’s travel tops

Lands’ End (800/963-4816, www.landsend.com) has swim tops for women that are called Rash Guard. If you wear them swimming, they act as a UV protectant. However, these wonderful tops are also great as travel clothing.

I took several with me on a Columbia River cruise in fall 2018. The shirts have long sleeves but aren’t too hot. (I took along a light sweater/jacket for when I needed a little more warmth.) The best part is the shirts roll up quite small for packing, and they dry easily overnight when laundered in the sink.

Lands’ End has now added a couple of short-sleeve styles and one ¾-sleeve style. They’re often on sale, making them quite reasonably priced, especially for travel clothes.

My first order was for only one shirt, but I liked it so much that I ordered four more, in black, navy, teal and berry. The solid-colored ones are normally $39.95, but I bought them during a promotion when they were 40% off, so they each cost about $24. Because the order was over $75, the shipping was free.

I also purchased two of the same tops in a print pattern. These were normally $49.95 apiece, but since they were 40% off, they each cost about $30.

On a trip to China in March 2019, these shirts were most of my wardrobe. I was able to dress up the solid colors with a scarf or jewelry.

I follow advice that I glean from ITN, so I thought maybe I could help someone else out too!
