India water shortage

The reservoirs of the city of Chennai, India, ran out of water in late June, requiring its more than 4 million citizens to find other sources. Water is being provided by the national government via tanker trucks, but it is heavily rationed. Water is also available at cost from private companies. Many hotels, restaurants and other businesses have been unable to provide water for their guests.
