KLM delivered!

On May 30, 2018, a friend and I flew overnight on Delta Air Lines from Seattle, Washington, to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, where we were to catch a KLM Royal Dutch Airlines connection to Bristol, England.

Upon arriving in Amsterdam, we found out that thunderstorms were causing many flights to be canceled, including our flight on KLM. We were informed that the next flight to Bristol was June 2, three days later!

After protesting that we had prepaid hotel and car reservations in Bristol, KLM was able to come up with a flight to Manchester, England, leaving within three hours. Of course, lost luggage was on our minds, but our bags did arrive with us at Manchester, still three hours by road from Bristol.

We went to the KLM desk to tell them our story, and they promptly offered a taxi to take us the 3-hour drive to Bristol. They also gave us food vouchers ($12 each) so we wouldn't starve.

We were vastly relieved and pleased with their offer, and the taxi delivered us to our Bristol airport hotel at 9:30 p.m., 4½ hours after we were originally supposed to arrive.

We will fly KLM anytime!
