Tokyo hedgehog lounge

Visitors to Tokyo, Japan, can spend an hour or more playing with harinezumi (hedgehogs) at the pet store Harry (Harinezumi) Café (Tokyo, Minato-ku, Roppongi 6-7-2 IWAHORI Building 2F; phone +81 03 3404 8100, www.harinezumi-cafe.com/cafe-english). Up to 30 hedgehogs of multiple species call the café home at any given time. 

Open daily 12 p.m.-9 p.m., Harry Café does not serve food or drinks, but outside food and nonalcoholic drinks may be taken in. A half-hour session at the café costs ¥1,000 (near $10) on weekdays or ¥1,300 on weekends and holidays. For a session lasting over one hour or on weekends or holidays, reserve beforehand on the website.
