My husband, David, and I had an excellent experience on our March 2016 trip in Jordan using Go2Jordan.INFO (www.your-guide-to-aqaba-jordan.com).

Our first contact with the company was with Eszter Papai (eszter@your-guide-to-aqaba-jordan.com). She thanked us for our inquiry and passed along some information about Jordan, including a series of travel tips for the area. She also told us they had an English-speaking guide, Zsuzsanna (Suzan) Gabor.

Prior to departing the US, we each purchased a Jordan Pass (www.jordanpass.jo), which allowed our visa fee to be waived, as we were staying in Jordan more than three nights. The pass ($99) also provided prepaid entry at Petra and 40 other attractions.

Arriving at the Amman airport, Suzan had arranged for a driver to deliver us to the wonderful Crown Plaza Jordan Dead Sea Resort & Spa.

The next day, Suzan drove us to Petra (three hours away), where we stayed for three nights. Another driver took us to visit the Petra archaeological site, from which we picked up our own taxi for the ride back to the hotel.

Another day, Suzan had a driver take us an hour away to Wadi Rum. Our Jordan Passes covered admission to the park, and we were given a 4-hour tour in a jeep-like converted pickup by a guide arranged by Suzan. We were then driven back to Petra by the original driver.

On the fifth day, Suzan took us back up to Amman. There were options for both basic and deluxe accommodations, but we had booked our hotels on our own, using points.

The following day, we used our passes for the Amman Citadel.

Everyone was on time and friendly. The total for all of our transportation — in a modern air-conditioned car and with English-speaking drivers, along with the drive to and guide at Wadi Rum — was JOD420 (near $593), payable with either Jordanian or US currency.

We used WhatsApp for correspondence from the States and in Jordan with Suzan. Both she and Eszter are Hungarian and had worked in the Jordan area for over six years.

We hope to visit Aqaba and would use Go2Jordan.INFO again.
