The choice of no pets

I read the letters in the last few issues about how travelers have their pets cared for while they’re away.

After our cat died 15 or so years ago, we made a pact to have no pets so we could be free to travel anytime with no worries.

Instead, we enjoy the lizards, birds, squirrels, raccoons, snakes, frogs, turtles and occasional opossum that live outside around our home. They are free in the wild and we are free to travel.
