Guide in Constanța

While my husband and I were on a “Black Sea Treasures” cruise with Oceania Cruises in May 2014, a fellow passenger we met through Cruisecritic.com organized a day trip to Constant¸a, Romania.
The cost was $85 per person for our group of 10, which did not include tips for the driver and our guide, Ecaterina (Caterina) Patrichi (phone 407 248 72518, ecaterina.patrichi@gmail.com).
Caterina was excellent. She showed us many of Constant¸a’s highlights, with (included in the trip) a wonderful wine tasting paired with food at the vineyard Clos des Colombes (Strada Olimp, Comuna 23 August, Jud Constant¸a, Romania; phone +4 0374 033 033, www.closdescolombes.eu), approximately 45 minutes from Constant¸a.
We also visited a beach resort, which we had the option to tour on a one-way gondola ride (about €5 [near $6] each).
Caterina’s English is excellent, she’s extremely knowledgeable and she has a great personality. It was a great day.
