This month’s winner is Mr. CLARE MOELK of Charlottetown, PD, Canada:

While in Copenhagen on our June-July 2011 trip to Northern Europe, my wife and I stopped in at a small café for a late snack. We took some time selecting a large sandwich from the display case.

After I pointed to the sandwich we wanted, the young lady behind the counter asked if we would like it cut in half. I replied, “That would be nice. You read our minds.”

While she was slicing the sandwich, we picked out a fresh strawberry tart and I asked if she would also cut that in half.

As an afterthought, I asked for a glass of water.

The clerk replied, “Would you like that cut in half, too?”

The three of us laughed as she poured us two glasses of water.
