This month’s winner is Nelson Burack of Melville, New York:

While having dinner in a hotel in Kunming, China, I noticed what appeared to be roasted peanuts on the lazy Susan in the center of our table. I asked what they were and the waiter said, “They fried peas.” I tried one, and it was delicious! So I ate several more. Great!

The next morning, at breakfast, there they were again on the tray. I had many more. A different waiter had been assigned to our table, and when he noticed my enjoyment at eating them he said, “I see you like the fried bees.”

Ugh!
