A more modern anthropological Olduvai Gorge Museum opened at Olduvai Gorge in Tanzania on Oct. 3, replacing a smaller museum at the site. The museum is home to the archaeological and anthropological findings at Olduvai and sits at one of the excavation sites of Drs. Louis and Mary Leakey, who discovered the 1.75-million- year-old Zinjanthropus boisei skull in 1959.

The museum will also display re-creations of archaeological finds from neighboring countries.

Offering up to 90 guided walks to choose from, the 9-day Crickhowell Walking Festival is held each year at the end of February in the town of Crickhowell, Wales (Crug Hywel in Welsh). The festival (in 2018, Feb. 24-March 4) is the largest in the UK.

Visitors to Dublin, Ireland, can download the Dublin Pass app onto their iPhones or Androids for free and get the same benefits of the physical Dublin Pass card but on their phones. 

The Dublin Pass provides free or discounted as well as fast-track entry to attractions throughout the city along with access to a free, hop-on/hop-off bus tour. Passes are available in 1-, 2-, 3- and 5-day increments. A 1-day pass costs €52 (near $62) and a 5-day pass, €104.

Until April 8, 2018, the exhibit “Winnie-the-Pooh: Exploring a Classic” is being held at the Victoria & Albert Museum (Cromwell Rd., London, England; phone +44 20 7942 2000, www.vam.ac.uk) in Gallery 38.
