Panama is offering all travelers arriving through Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport free medical insurance in case of emergency during the first 30 days of their stay.

An information brochure and a user card must be picked up in the tourist information center in the airport’s Immigration area. If medical attention is required, the card and a passport is to be presented at any health center.

The Musée Picas­so (Hôtel Salé, 5, rue de Thorigny), in Paris’ Marais quarter, has passed the halfway mark in its two-year, €30-million renovation.

When the museum reopens in February 2012, the display space will be doubled (to 2,000 square meters), the 5,000-piece collection will be restored and digitized, and some displays will be more accessible to disabled visitors.

In Buñol, Spain, every year in the last week of August, thousands gather to throw 100 tons of overripe tomatoes at each other. La Tomatina lasts all week, with live music, cooking contests and fireworks, but in 2011 the actual tomato battle will take place 11 a.m. to noon, Aug. 31.
