Palazzo San Teodoro hotel in Naples

My husband, Howard, and I spent three weeks in southern ITALY in April ’06 and wish to share a unique treasure.

First, Naples is truly an outstanding base from which to explore the many interesting areas of Italy. We stayed for six nights at Palazzo San Teodoro (Riviera di Chiaia 281, 80121 Naples, Italy; phone/fax [+39] 081-7641427 or visit www. riviera281.it), adjacent to the elegant waterfront in the exclusive Riviera di Chaia area. We booked through a travel agent.

One floor of the palazzo has been exquisitely redone and includes three rooms with facilities en suite and each affording the occupants a terrace with outstanding views plus living room, dining room, etc. Our room rate was $144 and included an outstanding breakfast.

The building itself houses the original elegant palazzo rooms.

The host and owner, Elena, is multilingual and most interesting.
