Has anyone traveled on the Volga River on the ship the "Russ" from Astrakhan to Moscow? Has anyone taken a side trip to the only Buddhist city in Europe, to Elista, only 4 hours from Astrakhan?

Took Moscow to St Petersburg on Volga June 2012 with GCT
Using Grand Circle Cruise lines,it was a great trip. Yes Yes St Petersburg is beautiful, but the real sleeper is Moscow. It is so much more progressive that the US press would have you believe. Do Moscow first, then St Pete and you will love both. PS - do it with GCT and improve your trip.
