Tours Five Stans & Silk Road

Hi. I'm in the process of planning a trip to Central Asia. I'm already thinking the historic Silk Road, Registan Square, and most of the famous buildings and museums. o include some other cool stuff. ....I thought I'd ask some travelers who have made this trip what they think I should include. I think the lady at the travel agency mentioned some kind of tropical beaches? Is this right? Because I kind of thought this area of the world was mostly desert. She also said something about wildlife preserves. If these are really in existance in this region then I would really like to include it in my trip. I think I will be staying for 30 days.
