Hello: am hoping someone can recommend a tour operator in Vietnam who could arrange a custom tour to Halong Bay, Cat Ba island and the Sapa Province, then an overland tour to the Vietnam/Lao border at Dien Bien Phu. I already have a tour operator who will meet me at the border to continue to the Elephant Festival in Siayaboaly Province and Luang Prabang. Thank you!

Update on Ann Tours
I just returned home from 12 days in Vietnam and Ann Tours (www.anntours.com) did an excellent job organizing the itinerary for me that included being met at the Lao/Vietnam border, traveling overland to Dien Bien Phu (1 night)and Sapa (3 nights), overnight train (1 night), Hanoi (2 nights), HaLong Bay (2 nights) and Hi Chi Minh City (3 nights). Most hotels were excellent, the one in HCMC was marginal, but well located.
Tony Nong, the director was easy to deal with, answered emails quickly, provided suggestions on the itinerary and the company takes credit cards which is the easiest way to transfer money. As with any service, keep credit card receipts with you while traveling in case there are questions. Where there were a few minor blips, a call to the office took care of things.
I look forward to traveling Vietnam's Ha Guiang Province (far north) in the future and would not hesitate to book with AnnTours again.
