I just finished reading an eye opening article about Cuba in the November 2012 issue of National Geographic. I absolutely wish I'd read it before our Foundation trip to Cuba (in December of 2011) and strongly suggest that anyone booked on a Cuba trip read the article.
This article will dispell any question of what to bring as "gifts".
