My husband and I are looking for a nice hotel or an apartment in Barcelona for 6 nights in September. Can anyone recommend some places? Thanks in advance.

We searched around for a three day visit and settled on the Hotel Pulitzer very close to the Plaza Catalana for its access to the airport, location to metro and overall charm and reviews. We found most hotels to be fairly austere and modern - edgy feeling and at least this one had a little more homey charm, though still very high style movie set-ish. We won't be going there until early September so sorry if I can't give you any currrent advice how this all works out. I have been happy with venere.com which has alternate lodgings besides just hotels. And many rave about renting homes/apartments on VRBO.
