Scandinavian Rail Trip

❮ Back To Message Board
My son and I are planning a train trip through Sweden and Norway in October. We plan to travel by overnight train from Stockholm to Narvick. Take a bus from Narvick to Fauske. We will then board the train to Trondheim . From Trondheim we will take a coastal steamer to Bergen. From Bergen we want to take a steamer to Flam, then a train to Voss and on to Oslo. We need help in planning the trip, especially Narvick to Bergen and Bergan to Oslo. We appreciate any information and the name of agencies that would provide help. You can buy rail passes and individual passes from Rick Steves company. Here is some general information:

The phone number for questions/purchases is: 425-771-8303
And I like that they throw in a guidebook with purchase of passes.

I am planning a trip to parts of Scandanavia, the Baltic States, and Russia in August-September and am working with Edvinos (Eddie) Pundys of the Seagull Group, based in Vilnius, Lithuania. Seagull is part of Evaneos, a large travel consortium headquartered in France. Although I am still in the planning stages, I can highly recommend Eddie. I began working with him about a year and a half ago when my trip was scheduled for summer of 2020 and was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He studied in California, and his English is perfect. He is an endless font of information and seems to be conscious of budget and time restrictions. Please send him a message (adviser_2412071_aab2e699-c369-46bc-91f2-a9264fbc3812@m.evaneos.com) and tell him Dorothy Botnick recommended him. You will not be disappointed.
