World Cruise Information Requested

We're going on a World Cruise during the months of February thru May, including Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, UAE, Egypt, Israel and of course the Mediterranean Sea....... We're most interested in what weather we will most likely encounter; we're thinking it's going to be warm to hot just about everywhere thus not requiring any "warm clothing"........can we get someone's experiences with this issue?

I find www.weatherbase.com very useful when I have questions like yours. It provides climate averages and normals for cities around the world.

Did you manage to get the world cruise completed before the COVID-19 event, if you managed to make it to NZ then we would love to have your views on what you, shore excursions etc. Regards Ian

Good luck on your world cruise. Currently, India is going through, to say the least, problems with the virus. I would be very hesitant about stopping there for any reason. Ditto for ports in Asia. We have a trip tentatively scheduled for India in February, which has now been downgraded to "potential," as of this date. You have more to worry about than the weather.

We learned to our surprise that New Zealand is northern antarctica and even in February was 'brisk.' Also the cruise ships tend to be over air conditioned so you may need warm clothing on board. In addition, May may be pretty cool in Israel and the mediterranean.

This is in response to Ian's inquiry "Did you manage to get the world cruise completed before the COVID-19 event, if you managed to make it to NZ then we would love to have your views on what you, shore excursions etc. Regards Ian".....We did get to NZ and even on to Australia before our WC ended; in NZ we were only on the North Island [February 22nd thru 26th]but had great weather; we visited Auckland, Tauranga (Rotorua), Napier and Wellington. All of NZ is wonderful; while we've heard/read many comparisons between NZ & Australia, we found both wonderful; in Wellington, I accidentally missed our tour (City Tour) we did independently the Hop On Hop Off Bus tour and it was great; Auckland we did a City tour then walked up town and around;there was an "Auckland Countryside" excursion but it was similar to the one we did in Napier; in Napier there was a Hawks Bay Countryside excursion we took and in Tarangua we did the Maori Culture Highlights excursion(interesting about the first inhabitants on the island(s); on the excursions' selections I must tell you we are not all day excursion folks; we prefer 3 hrs to 4 hrs excursions;
