Mexico City

Hello! I will be traveling to Mexico City just for the weekend in May and was wondering if anyone would be able to recommend a day tour to a nearby town or any other place which might be interesting to see. And any comment about Mexico City, what to do, what to see etc would be appreciated. I know I have little time but trying to do the most out of it. Thank you!

Two days in Mexico city will give you a good taste for what this city has to offer. Really with just two days, you might want to stay pretty much in the central area. I'd recommend on Day 1, take the Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus just to get your bearings and to explore the main plaza ((Plaza de la Constitucion ), with the cathedral, the Diego Rivera murals in the Palaco Nacional, the Templo Mayor Archaeological Site and Museum. You can also take a nice walk in the pedestrian area. And on Day 2, Visit the magnificent National Museum of Anthropology in Chapultepec Park and if you are in to walking, walk back to your hotel in the central area along Paseo de la Reforma.

A day trip to the pyramids of Teotihuacan is essential.
