Undersea dining in Norway

Located on Norway's southernmost tip, Europe's first underwater restaurant, Under (Lindesnes, Norway; www.under.no), began taking reservations on Oct. 10. It's scheduled to open in April 2019.

Guests will descend via a walkway 5½ meters to the sea floor and be seated in a glass-walled dining room. Lights, sounds and smells will be used in the surrounding waters to lure sea life such as fish and seals to the windows.

A set, 18-course tasting menu will emphasize seafood. A nonrefundable deposit of NOK1,000 (near $119) per person is required to reserve a table, with the balance due after the meal. The final cost had not been set as of press time.
