Partner for Pantanal

Hi Travelers,

I am seeking one or more partners for a trip later this year to the Brazilian Pantanal - largest wetlands in the world. If you have been to the Amazon, or are considering going, you may have been, or might be, frustrated by the difficulty of seeing animals there. Not to downplay the Amazon. The river and its myriad tributaries, and the rain forest they support, are fantastic. But you will see few animals. The environment simply provides them with too many hiding places. Not so the Pantanal. This is South America's recognized best place for seeing all those creatures hiding in the Amazon! I am in process of inquiring with various lodges, trying to find the best value and the best chance of seeing the still elusive King of the Beasts of the Americas - the jaguar. The spectacular hyacinth macaw seems common enough that sightings are nearly guaranteed, along with many other species. Jaguar never guaranteed, but I am looking to up the ante. Please let me know if you are interested in this trip. I am shooting for September, but am flexible. If you have any interest, I'm sure we can work out timing acceptable to both.
