Trip to Argentina

We took a trip to , March 23-April 4, ’04, booked through our travel agent, Keka’s Travel (9600 NW 25th St., Ste. 4-C, Miami, FL 33154; phone 800/593-5352 or visit www.kekastvl.com).

We flew Aerolineas Argentinas round trip from Miami to for $2,182.50 per person in business class. It was a good flight but with poor service and mediocre food, I felt.

Our package, arranged by Keka’s with Tourmedal (c. Pellegrina 833-6° P. Depro. “C” C1009AB6, , ; phone [54-11] 5237-0384), cost $798 per person and included 12 nights’ hotel accommodations (with breakfasts), transfers, a couple of half-day tours plus a tango/dinner show and a Fiesta Gaucho trip to a hacienda that included lunch and a boat ride. We stayed three nights in , two in , two at Iguazú Falls (see Dec. ’04, pg. 66) and then five more in . The package did not include airfare of $325 per person from and back to .

For our eight nights (total) in , we stayed in an excellent location at the hotel Pestana, previously the Murano (Carlos Pellegrini 877-C1009AB6, , ; phone [54-11] 5239-1000/1100). They had wonderful service and good food.

Tourmedal’s office was just a step away from the hotel. In the city tour arranged by Tourmedal, our guide, Malvina Gomez, was great.
